Talking website
Our website is linked to the speaker service BrowseAloud by TextHELP. This is accessibility software which allows both websites and pdf-files to be read aloud as you move your curser over the text. You can save the spoken files as Mp3-files, and mark which texts have been read. BrowseAloud is free to you, the end user. Connect to BrowseAloud as follows: You must first download the ‘BrowseAloud’ software. No installation is needed. Just save the software to your computer in the normal way. You will find the link here (click on the country name ‘Sweden’ at top right of screen to download the English version if the link opens in the Swedish ‘Talande Webb’ version). When the program is up and running two icons will appear at bottom right of your screen. Click the blue circle to change settings such as voice, language and reading speed. Use the white rectangle (a page) to read pdf-files. BrowseAloud automatically recognises the websites that work with it; the curser changes appearance and the program icon becomes highlighted in yellow.
